Pediatric Physiotherapy
Movement, milestone and developmental support for infants, children and adolescents.
What this treatment is, and how it works
Pediatric physiotherapy supports children whose movement, posture or motor development is not progressing as expected. The goal is to help each child move, play and participate as fully as possible.
We work with infants, school-age children and adolescents — from delayed milestones in the first year, to torticollis, gait concerns, postural issues during growth spurts, and rehabilitation after pediatric injury or surgery.
Conditions it commonly addresses
- Delayed motor milestones (rolling, sitting, crawling, walking)
- Torticollis and plagiocephaly in infants
- Toe-walking, in-toeing and out-toeing gait patterns
- Postural concerns and scoliosis screening during growth
- Cerebral palsy, developmental delay and neurological conditions
- Pediatric sports injuries and post-fracture rehabilitation
- Coordination, balance and gross motor difficulties
What we do, step by step
- Family ConversationWe start with parents — their concerns, the child's history, and what a normal day looks like.
- Play-Based AssessmentMovement, posture and milestones are assessed through age-appropriate play, not on a bed.
- Goal-SettingGoals are agreed with the family — sitting unsupported, climbing stairs, returning to a sport.
- Therapy & Home ProgrammeHands-on facilitation paired with simple games and tasks parents can do at home.
- ReassessmentStandardised milestone tracking every 4–6 weeks, with photos or video where helpful.
In a session
Sessions are 30–45 minutes and almost always involve the parent. The room is set up for play. We do not force a crying child through a session — we slow down and adapt.
Recommended sessions
Highly variable. Mild milestone catch-up may need 4–8 sessions; longer-term conditions are reviewed every 6–12 weeks with home programmes between visits.
Who should avoid this
Acute, undiagnosed medical conditions — we coordinate with your pediatrician first. We are not a substitute for a developmental pediatrician's review.
What you can expect from our team
- Parent-led approach — you are the daily therapist, we are the coach
- Play-based sessions, never clinical-feeling for the child
- Coordination with your pediatrician and school where appropriate
