Posture Training
Awareness, mobility and endurance work for the postures your day actually demands.
What this treatment is, and how it works
Posture training is not about standing rigidly upright. It is about giving your spine and shoulders enough mobility, strength and endurance to hold the positions your day demands without pain.
We use video analysis, awareness drills and progressive endurance work tailored to whether you sit, stand, drive or train for long stretches.
Conditions it commonly addresses
- Forward-head posture and rounded shoulders
- Mid-back stiffness and inter-scapular pain
- Tension headaches with a postural origin
- Low-back ache from prolonged sitting or standing
- Posture concerns in adolescents during growth phases
- Pre- and post-natal postural changes
What we do, step by step
- Postural MappingWe photograph and assess your habitual posture in sitting, standing and during your specific tasks.
- Mobility WorkStiff segments — typically thoracic spine and hips — are mobilised first.
- Awareness CuesSimple cues you can use during work, driving or training to find a better column.
- Endurance BuildingPostural muscles are trained for endurance, not maximum strength.
- Workspace ReviewPractical advice on chair, screen, keyboard and break frequency.
In a session
Sessions are active and educational. You will leave with 2–3 things to practise daily, not a rigid routine.
Recommended sessions
Typically 4–8 sessions, with reviews every few months as habits settle.
Who should avoid this
Posture training is appropriate for almost everyone; modifications are made for spinal pathology and pregnancy.
What you can expect from our team
- Video used to make the change visible to you
- Cues built around your real tasks — not gym positions
